As Education Minister from 2017-2021, Prempeh led a reformation of the curriculum for Kindergarten to Senior High School levels.

He also led the reformation of the teacher training system, to conform with UNESCO’s 8 benchmarks.

Further, he led the implementation of the Free Senior High School programme, which has since its inception, given over 1,000,000 students, many of whom are girls, support to stay in school after Junior High.
