Bridge 47 is organizing an international online webinar together with Finnish folk high schools and Norways Folkehøgskolerådet as part of the Building Bridges for Sustainable Development initiative. The webinar presents key findings from a recent study and showcases good practices from folk high schools that strengthen sustainability skills, global citizenship education and international dialogue.
The session highlights the unique role of folk high schools as non‑formal learning environments that support transformative learning, inclusion and participatory dialogue, with a strong link to SDG 4.7. Practical examples from Finnish folk high schools will illustrate how sustainability competences and global responsibility are embedded in everyday educational practices.
The webinar is hosted by Bridge 47 with Finnish Folk High School Association and Folkehøgskolerådet From Norway.

More information about the Building Bridges for Sustainable Development initiative is available here.
The study was conducted as part of the Building Bridges project, an Erasmus+ initiative funded by the European Union and carried out in cooperation between Finnish and Norwegian folk high schools. The project focuses on advancing sustainable development and global citizenship (SDG 4.7) by supporting the sharing of good practices, providing comparative insights, and promoting the long-term development of sustainability work in folk high schools.
