Civics Beyond Borders: Fostering Civic Skills for Democracy in a Global Age

  • New York, NY United States (map)

In an era defined by global interdependence, today’s students need civic knowledge and skills that extend beyond national boundaries. This session brings together Retro Report and CFR Education to help educators equip students with the tools they need to understand democracy, citizenship, and civic decision-making in a connected world. Participants will dive into a broadened approach to civic education that blends traditional civic knowledge with global affairs literacy.

Designed for secondary and postsecondary classrooms, the session will showcase practical, inquiry-based instructional strategies that integrate multimedia sources to foster critical thinking and civil discourse.
