As peace educators, how can we build community, not only within the global peace education network, but also in the classrooms, institutions, and communities we are part of? How can we cultivate solidarity in both local and global contexts, especially amidst the global challenges we face? And how do we foster solidarity when peace education is met with resistance or hostility?
The Global Campaign for Peace Education, the International Institute on Peace Education, and the University for Peace invite you to join the Critical Conversations on Peace Education webinar series. This session invites us to explore how community and solidarity can serve as the foundation of our peace education work, creating spaces of mutual care, shared responsibility, and collective action toward a more just and peaceful world. We will spend much of this session weaving relationships in our virtual space, learning together about the practices and challenges of cultivating solidarity and community in our peace education efforts, locally and globally.
