In a time of rising mis- and dis-information, a focus on how we can embed and promote critical thinking within our Global Citizenship Education practice is of increasing importance.
This talk will see Brighid Golden (Mary Immaculate College) explore the recent Palgrave book by the same title, and an ongoing research project called ‘Get Critical’, which both explore how a focus on critical thinking can enhance our approach to GCE practice.
The book, Critical Thinking for Global Citizenship Education: A conceptual framework, presents a research informed two-part conceptual framework for embedding critical thinking within GCE practice.
This webinar will share details of the framework, considerations for practice, alongside outcomes of the Get Critical research project in which participants from a wide variety of contexts and settings have been adapting the framework for their own practice.
Attendees will be guided to consider their own practice and how they could further embed critical thinking to enhance their approaches to GCE.
The book is fully open access, and available on Springer Nature.
