Curriculum for Climate: Greening Education at Scale

  • Room XXIV, Palais des Nations 14 Avenue de la Paix Genève, GE, 1202 Switzerland (map)

Despite growing awareness, nearly half of the world’s national curricula still fail to address climate change, and most teachers and students feel unprepared. That’s why UNESCO-IBE is calling for an integrated approach: one that embeds cognitive, emotional, behavioural, and moral literacies into curricula to empower learners to lead sustainable change.

Join the conversation as we bring education and environmental stakeholders together to green education—for a fairer future.

This session is an in-person side event of the 59th session of the Human Rights Council. It is hosted in collaboration with the Permanent Mission of Slovenia to the UN and the Special Rapporteur for Human Rights in the Context of Climate Change. It is co-sponsored by the Permanent Mission of Austria.
