Developing Global Citizenship Through Play at Early Level

  • Glasgow, Scotland UK (map)

This course is for any practitioner working with children at Early Level CfE (age 3-6) in a nursery setting or P1/composite class in Scotland. The course will explore:

  • What we mean by Global Citizenship and what that looks like at Early Level

  • How we can adjust experiences, interactions and spaces to support young children to develop the knowledge, skills, values and attitudes of Global Citizenship

  • Provocations, strategies and resources available to support your practice

The course is based on a resource 'Seeds for Change' which aims to provide inspiration and support for practitioners and children to explore and celebrate our diverse world with curiosity, empathy and respect.

Register here.

The course will take place on MS Teams and you will receive the link before the event. (Check your spam folder if you don't receive it!)

All courses run by the Scottish Development Education Centres are highly interactive. It can be hard to participate fully on a phone or tablet, so we highly recommend you join the course on a desktop or laptop computer, with your microphone and video enabled.

If you have particular access needs, please contact us at rachel.avery@highlandoneworld.org.uk so we can work together to create as positive an experience for you as we can.
