While many African nations are making commendable strides towards ensuring access to quality education and lifelong learning for all, progress remains gradual.
This webinar will explore:
Early childhood education and school readiness
Primary and secondary education: access and completion
TVET and life skills for sustainable development
Higher education
Literacy and foundational skills for youth and adults
As the continent launches its next Continental Education Strategy for Africa (CESA 26-35), UNESCO is organising two seminars, in collaboration with the AU and UNICEF.
The webinars will be the opportunity to share the findings of the two continental reports, including promising country-level initiatives and bottlenecks, hear from a panel of renowned experts and government officials, and discuss how to leverage strengths and address weaknesses, with a view to support the formulation of effective and inclusive education policies to make learning and skills development more efficient, equitable, and responsive to Africa’s economic and social development needs.
