Humanity at the Center: Global Citizenship, Ethical AI, and the Water–Energy–Food Nexus for Transformative SDG Action

  • Conference Room 3, UNHQ 405 East 45th Street New York, New York, 10017 United States (map)

The question is no longer whether AI will shape the future, but how humanity can utilize innovative and advanced technology and AI  responsibly, inclusively, and sustainably.

IVECA invites you to join a 2026 High-Level Political Forum side event, Humanity at the Center: Global Citizenship, Ethical AI, and the Water–Energy–Food Nexus for Transformative SDG Action.

The event will begin at the United Nations Headquarters Conference Room 3 (Part 1, 1:15–2:30 PM), followed by networking, refreshments, and an expert panel discussion at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations (Part 2, 2:45–4:00 PM).

Led by the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations, this event is co-hosted by IVECA International Virtual Schooling, Incheon East Asia Global Education Institute (IEGI), the United Nations Office for Sustainable Development (UNOSD) of UNDESA, in collaboration with CoNGO, GNEC, and UNESCO NY Office, bringing together youth, policymakers, educators, civil society leaders, and private-sector representatives to explore human-centered approaches to accelerating SDG implementation.

Students from South Korea, Cameroon, China, and the United States will present innovative, AI-supported solutions to local and global challenges, demonstrating how ethical technology, intercultural collaboration, and youth leadership can advance SDGs 6, 7, 9, 11, and 17. Their presentations will be followed by reflections from experts across the UN, academia, government, and civil society on scaling these ideas into meaningful action.

We encourage you to register by June 30 to reserve your seat and join this timely conversation on ethical AI, sustainable development, and youth-driven innovation. Please note that you should RSVP for PART 2 separately through the PART 1 registration.
