Bringing Comedy and Theater into Climate Education

The Worldwide Teach-in on Climate and Justice invites you to learn about how you can use theatre and comedy to help students understand the climate crisis and just solutions. At this webinar, you will also learn how to participate in the Worldwide Teach-in on Climate and Justice, set for March 29, 2023.

In 2022, the Worldwide Teach-In announced our Climate Play Competition: a call for short, 5-7 minute plays that explore the climate crisis and just solutions. It had a strong cohort of over 40 entries from around the world which dramatized the crisis in powerful narrative form. Join the the Worldwide Teach-In as they introduce the top entries from the global competition and discuss how to reach out to campus theater groups to produce these plays during your Teach-In!

In addition, the team will share about their work with Inside the Greenhouse at the University of Colorado to create a 15-minute best of climate comedy video that can anchor a session focused on climate comedy. Finally, the session will also discuss how to access Environmental Sustainability and Justice films through Bullfrog Films, which offers support for one-off film events, and in-class screenings for classroom academic, school, and library use. Bullfrog Films may be able arrange for virtual conversations with filmmakers as part of your Teach-in.

Join the webinar at either 10am and 9pm ET.
