A side event during the World Social Summit, this event will gather partner country and donor governments, multilaterals, civil society, private sector, foundations and youth leaders to discuss the importance of strengthening and transforming education systems to ensure children have the skills they need for the jobs of today and tomorrow.

The event aims to:

  • Highlight the importance of basic education as critical driver of future economic growth by delivering the foundational building blocks that enable children to thrive and prepare them for jobs of the future.

  • Spotlight examples and best practices from countries on delivering skills and learning outcomes.

  • Underscore the need for effective partnerships to deliver education system transformation.

  • Mobilize new partners and critical stakeholders from other sectors to discuss pathways to integrate them into education system transformation processes.

This will be an in-person moderated high-level panel discussion followed by an interactive discussion.
