Navigating misinformation: Developing climate literacy & future skills through education systems

  • Higher Education for Climate Action Pavilion, Blue Zone Rua Senador Lemos Souza, PA, 68447-000 Brazil (map)

This event will focus on how education can tackle misinformation, build shared understanding and accelerate collaborative climate action. It will spotlight UNESCO’s  Global Initiative for Information Integrity on Climate Change, launched ahead of COP30, which recognises that effective climate action depends on societies’ ability to separate fact from falsehood.

The discussion will explore practical ways to embed climate literacy across education systems worldwide, ensuring young people are equipped to engage confidently with the challenges of a changing world.
