This webinar will explore the role of hope in the school and community programmes developed by Global Learning London (GLL).
This important centre, based in Tower Hamlets, has developed creative and reflective approaches to explore complex and difficult global issues such as climate change, anti-racism and gender equality. It works with teachers, students and their wider communities to reflect on how we think about, address and overcome the challenges we face on a local, national and global level.
This webinar will raise the question of hope, agency, power and the obstacles we face.
Global Learning London is part of the Global Learning Network, which brings together independent, not-for-profit organisations that support and deliver global learning in schools and communities across England.
Attendees can expect the following:
Exploring global issues through creative tools in a school setting.
Practical challenges and opportunities to doing this work in schools.
Reflecting on how we discuss hope during times of global adversity.
This event will be particularly useful to teachers and other educators involved in teaching about global topics; researchers.
