Science and Technology Diplomacy is gaining global traction, with growing recognition of its role in addressing geopolitical, sustainability, and innovation challenges. Building on this momentum, this symposium responds to the need to more actively engage educators and academic institutions in shaping how science diplomacy is taught and practiced, positioning universities as key actors in advancing the field.
The symposium aims to strengthen the capacity of educators and institutions to engage with science diplomacy – to equip the next generation with the knowledge and perspectives needed to address global challenges, fostering long-term cooperation, policy innovation, and more resilient, sustainable, and peaceful societies.
The symposium is co-organised by the Central European Scientific Society of Innovation and Technology (CESSIT) and ASEF, and part of the Asia-Europe Science and Technology Diplomacy Initiative for Young Professionals.
