The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a universal framework for addressing pressing global challenges, from poverty and inequality to climate change and economic resilience. As hubs of knowledge, research and societal engagement, universities have the unique capacity to drive innovation, influence policy and empower communities. This session examines how universities can leverage their roles as catalysts for change and drive progress towards achieving the SDGs. The speaker will address: 

  • Integrating SDG targets into curricula, research agendas and institutional policies to create long-term impact

  • Fostering interdisciplinary research and entrepreneurial ecosystems that address global challenges

  • Reducing disparities by promoting inclusive access, global collaboration and equitable knowledge sharing
